Belgian producer DJ, Mugwump performs an about-face with a new sound and live show with ''Drape'' his second album, and the result of 9 months locked with musicians Stephane Fedele (bass), Thomas Stadnicki (guitars), Lukas Melville (drums) plus a series of live shows in Belgium. "Drape" fuses the electronic with an occasionally heavy rock feel and outstanding lyrics, all topped off with a delicious French Belgian tinged vocal and lyrical topicality, Music-wise it has a breadth of influences from the Interzone between Post-Punk, Indie Pop, Psych, Noise. Geoffroy Mugwump lays down conscious, parlando-style lyrics over 9 songs ''soundtracking our torments in the Age of Laissez-Faire and Aestheticisation''.
''Drape'' is the follow-up to debut studio-album, « Unspell » in 2015, which boasted loads of vocal featurings, garnedered plaudits all across the board in the international music press and a series of early live shows at Benelux, French, UK and Dutch festivals & venues. Takin it it further and morphing into a full band, Mugwump released the «Metempsycho EP » in November 2016 on which he made his singing debut. Driven by this live band turn, Mugwump's new album « Drape" is out now on !K7/Subfield (V2 in Belgium)
